Saint-Malo Open: Minnen upsets Navarro to reach semi-finals
The Belgian will face the winner of the match between Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 7 seed, and American Katie Volynets in the next round

Belgian Greet Minnen upset American Emma Navarro, the No 8 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 to move into the semi-finals of the Saint-Malo Open at the Parc des sports de Marville on Friday.
Minnen, ranked No 173 in the world, will face the winner of the match between Pole Magdalena Frech, the No 7 seed, and American Katie Volynets next.
In the previous rounds of the Saint-Malo tournament, the Belgian edged out American Claire Liu, the second seed (2-6, 6-2, 6-4) and beat Jodie Burrage (6-4, 6-3).
Navarro, ranked No 101, won against Croat Ana Konjuh (7-6 (4), 7-5) and Frenchwoman Amandine Hesse (6-1, 6-0) earlier in the week.
