Rome Masters: Impressive Sinner eases into third round
Jannik Sinner won against Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-1, 6-4 on Friday and will play the winner of the match between Russian lucky loser Alexander Shevchenko and Argentinian Sebastian Baez in the next round

Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 8 seed, won against Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis 6-1, 6-4 to reach the third round of the Rome Masters at the Foro Italico on Friday.
Sinner, ranked No 8, will face the winner of the match between Russian lucky loser Alexander Shevchenko and Argentinian Sebastian Baez next.
Kokkinakis, ranked No 104, benefited from the abandonment of Spaniard Jaume Munar (4-2) in the previous round of the Italian Open.
