Federer visits Lesotho in South Africa with his Foundation

20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer is currently visiting Lesotho, South Africa as part of a visit with his foundation.

Federer, now 41 and retired from the sport since September, posted an update on social media on Tuesday, saying “So happy to be with my family in Lesotho on a @rogerfederer.foundation trip”.

The Swiss’s charity foundation, The Roger Federer Foundation, has been working to enable parents and local communities in providing children with the opportunity for a good education in South Africa and Switzerland.

Federer, whose mother was born in South Africa, also organized a Match in Africa fundraiser at the Cape Town Stadium in February 2020 where he was joined by close friend and rival Rafael Nadal, Bill Gates and Trevor Noah.
