Geneva Open: Jarry makes quarter-finals, meets top seed Ruud next
The Chilean benefited from the withdrawal of Tallon Griekspoor on Wednesday

Chilean Nicolas Jarry advanced to the last eight of the Geneva Open after Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 6 seed, withdrew before the match on Wednesday at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives.
Jarry, ranked No 54, will play Norwegian Casper Ruud, the top seed, next.
The Chilean has beaten Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Geneva tournament, Griekspoor, ranked No 39, won against Italian qualifier Stefano Travaglia (7-5, 7-6 (3)).
