Frenchman Richard Gasquet reached the second round of the Stuttgart Open by winning against American qualifier Christopher Eubanks 7-6 (2), 6-4 at Tennis Club Weissenhof on Monday.
Gasquet, ranked No 55, will face top seed Stefanos Tsitsipas next.
