Wimbledon: Safiullin books spot in third round, to meet Pella

Russian Roman Safiullin reached the third round of Wimbledon by winning against Frenchman Corentin Moutet 7-5, 6-3, 7-6 (4) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.

In the previous round of The Championships, the Russian beat Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 20 seed (2-6, 7-6 (7), 6-7 (4), 6-4, 7-5).
Moutet, ranked No 71, won against Richard Gasquet (6-3, 7-5, 7-5) in the first round of The Championships.
