Hurkacz ousts defending champion Coric to reach last 16 at Cincinnati Masters
There will be a new champion at the Cincinnati Masters in 2023. Borna Coric, the 2022 winner, lost to Hubert Hurkacz on Wednesday. Hurkacz advances to meet Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Pole Hubert Hurkacz beat Croat Borna Coric, the No 15 seed, 5-7, 6-3, 6-3 to reach the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters at the Linder Tennis Family Center on Wednesday evening.
Hurkacz, ranked No 20, will face Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 4 seed, next.
The Pole edged out Australian qualifier Thanasi Kokkinakis (7-6 (2), 3-6, 7-6 (1)) in the previous round of the Cincy Open.
In the first round of the Cincy Open, Coric, ranked No 16, won against American Sebastian Korda (7-6 (5), 6-4).
