China Open: Ruud navigates Struff challenge
Casper Ruud beat Jan-Lennard Struff 7-6 (5), 6-3 on Friday and will face Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the next round

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 7 seed, moved into the second round of the China Open by defeating German Jan-Lennard Struff 7-6 (5), 6-3 at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing on Friday afternoon.
Ruud, ranked No 9, will play Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry next.
