Colina Open: Parry beats Hercog to make last four

Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the No 5 seed, beat Slovenian Polona Hercog 6-7 (7), 6-3, 6-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Colina Open at the Club Deportivo Universidad Catolica.
Parry, ranked No 104, will play American Elizabeth Mandlik, the No 7 seed, next.
The 21-year-old Frenchman edged out Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle (1-6, 6-3, 7-5) and beat Fiona Ferro (6-4, 6-1) ahead of her victory.
In the previous rounds of the Chilean tournament, Hercog, ranked No 332, won against Romanian Miriam Bulgaru (6-4, 4-6, 6-2) and Egyptian wildcard Mayar Sherif (7-6 (11), 4-6, 6-1).
