Frenchwoman Diane Parry, the top seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Argentina Open by defeating Argentinian wildcard Julieta Lara Estable 6-3, 6-3 at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis Club on Wednesday evening.
Parry, ranked No 94, will play the winner of the match between Ipek Oz and Argentinian Maria Lourdes Carle, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the 21-year-old Frenchman won against Georgian qualifier Ekaterine Gorgodze (6-1, 6-2).
