Brisbane International: Noskova upsets Cirstea to reach last 16

Czech teen Linda Noskova edged out Romanian Sorana Cirstea, the No 10 seed, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to advance to the last 16 of the Brisbane International on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Noskova, ranked No 40 in the world, will next face Argentinian qualifier Julia Riera, who beat Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, the No 7 seed.
Ahead of her victory, Noskova edged out Hungarian qualifier Timea Babos (5-7, 7-6 (8), 7-6 (2)) whereas Cirstea received a first round bye.
