Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 6 seed, advanced to the second round of the Rotterdam Open by winning against Italian Lorenzo Sonego 7-6 (4), 6-3 at the Rotterdam Ahoy.
Dimitrov, ranked No 13, will face Marton Fucsovics next.
