Puerto Vallarta Open: Starodubtseva moves into last eight
Yulia Starodubtseva defeated Sachia Vickery 6-3, 7-5 on Wednesday and will face Australian wildcard Taylah Preston in the next round.

Ukrainian Yulia Starodubtseva advanced to the quarter-finals of the Puerto Vallarta Open by winning against American Sachia Vickery 6-3, 7-5 on Wednesday.
Starodubtseva, ranked No 135, will face the winner of the match between Australian wildcard Taylah Preston and Argentinian Julia Riera, the No 8 seed, next.
Ahead of her victory, the Ukrainian beat Colombian Emiliana Arango (7-5, 6-1).
Vickery, ranked No 137, defeated Slovak Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, the top seed (6-2, 6-0) in the previous round.
