Top seed Emma Navarro defeated Elizabeth Mandlik 6-4, 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Catalonia Open on Thursday afternoon.
Navarro, ranked No 23, will play Egyptian Mayar Sherif next.
Emma Navarro won against Bernarda Pera (7-5, 4-6, 6-1) in the previous round.
In the previous round, Mandlik, ranked No 123, won against Claire Liu (6-1, 6-3).
