Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko reached the second round of the Hangzhou Open by defeating Argentinian qualifier Marco Trungelliti 6-1, 6-1 at the Hengqin International Tennis Center on Thursday.

Shevchenko, ranked No 58, will face Kazakh Mikhail Kukushkin next.
