Jiangxi Open: Rus beats Fruhvirtova to reach quarter-finals
The Dutchwoman will play Swiss Viktorija Golubic for a spot in the semi-finals

Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus, the No 6 seed, beat Linda Fruhvirtova 6-4, 7-6 (4) to advance to the last eight of the Jiangxi Open on Thursday.
This was Rus’ second win over the 19-year-old Czech in three career meetings.
Rus, ranked No 83, will face Swiss Viktorija Golubic next.
The 33-year-old Dutchman won against Ukrainian Yuliia Starodubtseva (6-4, 6-7 (2), 6-3) in the previous round of the tournament.
Earlier in the week, Fruhvirtova, ranked No 209, won against Liechtensteiner Kathinka von Deichmann (6-0, 7-5).
