Lucky loser Facundo Diaz Acosta won against No 3 seed Sebastian Baez 6-4, 7-6 (1) to advance to the last eight of the Auckland Open at the ASB Tennis Arena on Wednesday.
Acosta, ranked No 78, will play the winner of the match between German Jan-Lennard Struff and Frenchman Gael Monfils next.
Facundo Diaz Acosta defeated Cameron Norrie (6-2, 6-3) ahead of his win today.
