Spaniard Sara Sorribes Tormo, the No 6 seed, reached the last 16 of the Puerto Vallarta Open by beating Georgian qualifier Oksana Kalashnikova 6-3, 6-1 on Tuesday.
Sorribes Tormo, ranked No 87, will face the winner of the match between American Whitney Osuigwe and Heather Watson next.
