Monte-Carlo Masters: Martinez Portero moves into second round

Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero won against Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-4, 1-6, 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters at the Monte-Carlo Country Club on Tuesday.

Martinez Portero, ranked No 51, will play the winner of the match between Dane Holger Rune, the No 10 seed, and Portuguese Nuno Borges next.
