Rouen Open: Top seed Svitolina moves into quarter-finals

Top seed Elina Svitolina defeated Anhelina Kalinina 6-4, 6-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Rouen Open at the Kindarena on Thursday.

Svitolina, ranked No 18, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro and Frenchwoman Varvara Gracheva next.

Elina Svitolina won against Swiss Jil Teichmann (6-4, 6-2) ahead of her victory.

In the previous round of the Rouen tournament, Kalinina, ranked No 65, won against Japanese qualifier Nao Hibino (6-0, 6-4).
