Rome Masters: Moutet books spot in third round

Corentin Moutet advanced to the third round of the Rome Masters when No 21 seed Ugo Humbert retired on Friday afternoon at the Foro Italico.

Moutet, ranked No 83, led 6-3, 4-0 when Humbert, ranked No 22, pulled out on Friday at the Foro Italico.

Corentin Moutet will face the winner of the match between Argentinian Francisco Comesana and Dane Holger Rune, the No 9 seed, next.

Moutet edged out Australian Rinky Hijikata (3-6, 6-1, 7-5) ahead of his victory.
