Eastbourne Open: Davidovich Fokina reaches semi-finals
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina won against Jakub Mensik 6-4, 7-5 on Thursday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between top seed Taylor Fritz and Marcos Giron in the next round

Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 6 seed, advanced to the semi-finals of the Eastbourne Open by winning against No 3 seed Jakub Mensik 6-4, 7-5 at the Devonshire Park Lawn Tennis Club on Thursday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 28, will face the winner of the match between top seed Taylor Fritz and Marcos Giron next.
Ahead of his victory, the Spaniard beat lucky loser Chun-Hsin Tseng (7-6 (6), 6-2) and edged out Australian qualifier James Duckworth (6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-4).
Mensik, ranked No 17, defeated American Reilly Opelka (7-5, 6-3) in the previous round of the Eastbourne tournament.
