Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 4 seed, won against Felix Auger-Aliassime, the second seed, 6-4, 6-4 to reach the final of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club.

A single break of serve without reply in each set was enough for Griekspoor to edge past the Canadian and make his first ATP final since 2023, when he won both of this two career titles.

Auger-Aliassime did little wrong, but was unable to make significant inroads into his opponent’s serve, which ultimately cost him a place in the final.

Griekspoor, ranked No 34, will play the winner of the match between Frenchman Corentin Moutet and American Alex Michelsen, the No 3 seed, next.

In the previous rounds of the Mallorca tournament, the Dutchman defeated American qualifier Ethan Quinn (7-5, 6-4) and Canadian Gabriel Diallo, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-4).

Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 27, beat Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (7-5, 6-3) and edged out Serb Hamad Medjedovic (3-6, 6-1, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
