Moutet knocks out Michelsen to reach Mallorca Open final

Frenchman Corentin Moutet won against American Alex Michelsen, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (3) to advance to the final of the Mallorca Open at Mallorca Country Club.
It is just the second ATP final that the Frenchman has reached in his career, and his first since Doha back in 2020.
Moutet, ranked No 83, will face Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 4 seed, for a chance to clinch a first career singles title.
Ahead of his victory, the Frenchman defeated Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero (4-6, 6-3, 6-0), German Daniel Altmaier, the No 8 seed (7-6 (3), 7-6 (3)) and American Learner Tien (6-2, 7-5).
Michelsen, ranked No 33, won against qualifier Brandon Holt (6-4, 6-4) and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, the No 7 seed (6-4, 7-6 (4)) in the previous rounds of the Mallorca tournament.
