Wimbledon: Mensik through to third round
Jakub Mensik edged out Marcos Giron 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) on Thursday and will play Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 22 seed, in the next round

No 15 seed Jakub Mensik reached the third round of Wimbledon by edging out American Marcos Giron 6-4, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London on Thursday.
Mensik, ranked No 17, will play Italian Flavio Cobolli, the No 22 seed, next.
Jakub Mensik won against Frenchman Hugo Gaston (6-1, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of The Championships, Giron, ranked No 45, beat Argentinian Camilo Ugo Carabelli (7-6 (6), 7-6 (4), 6-3).
