Bouzkova, champion in Prague in 2022, strikes again in 2025
Marie Bouzkova defeated her compatriot Linda Noskova in the Prague tournament final (2-6, 6-1, 6-3).

Prague Brings Back Fond Memories for Marie Bouzkova! After winning the first title of her career in the Czech capital back in 2022, world No. 47 Marie Bouzkova has done it again in 2025 following a hard-fought final.
On Saturday, fifth seed Marie Bouzkova triumphed in three sets against her fellow Czech and top seed Linda Noskova (2-6, 6-1, 6-3). Having lost her last three WTA finals, Bouzkova ended that streak in style in Prague.
Marie Bouzkova is now the fifth player to defeat the No. 1 seed in a WTA final in 2025, joining the ranks of Madison Keys (Adelaide, Australian Open), Mirra Andreeva (Indian Wells), Jelena Ostapenko (Stuttgart), and Coco Gauff (Roland Garros).
BOUZKOVA BACK IN THE TOP 40
Both players struggled to produce their best tennis on Saturday. The match saw a total of 89 unforced errors (57 from Noskova and 32 from Bouzkova) and 19 break points. Playing in the fourth final of her career at just 20 years old, Linda Noskova started strong, securing a double break to take the first set.
But Bouzkova turned things around, breaking early in the second set to regain confidence and fending off two break points to maintain her lead. The world No. 47 delighted the Czech crowd by dominating the second set 6-1 to force a decider.
After an exchange of breaks in the final set, Bouzkova took control with a love game at 3-3. She remained solid on serve and clinched the victory with another break on her second match point.
Thanks to this win, Marie Bouzkova will climb nine spots in the WTA rankings, moving up to No. 38. It’s her first return to the Top 40 since August 2024.
