US Open women’s draw: Swiatek with Gauff and Keys, Sabalenka enjoys a favorable path
The women’s draw for the 2025 US Open was made on Thursday in New York.

The winners of the first three Grand Slam tournaments of the season are in the same section of the US Open draw! World No. 2 and Wimbledon champion Iga Swiatek could face Coco Gauff, the French Open winner, or Madison Keys, the Australian Open champion, in the semifinals.
The Polish player, who claimed the Cincinnati title, will start the US Open against Colombian Emiliana Arango, ranked 81st in the world. Her first real test could come as early as the third round, with a potential showdown against 29th seed Anna Kalinskaya.
Defending champion and world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka has been relatively spared by the draw. The Belarusian, who will face Swiss Rebeka Masarova in her opening match, will have the chance to build momentum before potentially taking on Elena Rybakina or Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals. She could then face world No. 4 Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.
The first round of the US Open has produced some exciting matchups for tennis fans. Montreal champion Victoria Mboko will kick off her campaign against two-time Grand Slam winner Barbora Krejcikova. Venus Williams, playing her first Grand Slam tournament since 2023, will face Karolina Muchova.
