Machac, Bellucci and Hijikata first qualifiers for the Rolex Paris Masters
6-2, 6-4: the Czech knocked out the top qualifying seed on Sunday, while Bellucci beat third seed Tirante 6-4, 6-4 and Hijikata saw off Kopriva 7-6 (5), 6-2. Four places remain, including one Benjamin Bonzi can still claim for France.

Tomas Machac knocked out top qualifying seed Sebastian Baez 6-2, 6-4 on Sunday to reach the main draw of the Rolex Paris Masters. The Czech is one of the first three qualifiers, along with Mattia Bellucci and Rinky Hijikata.
Bellucci, the 13th seed, won the seeds’ clash against third seed Thiago Agustin Tirante 6-4, 6-4 in 1 hour and 25 minutes. Hijikata beat 11th seed Vit Kopriva 7-6 (5), 6-2 in 1 hour and 33 minutes, a day after Kopriva had knocked out French wildcard Hugo Gaston.
Four places are still to be decided on Sunday. Benjamin Bonzi, the last Frenchman in qualifying, faces ninth seed Yannick Hanfmann after knocking out second seed Tallon Griekspoor in the first round. Nuno Borges plays Alex Molcan, Juan Manuel Cerundolo meets Miomir Kecmanovic and Adolfo Daniel Vallejo faces Lorenzo Sonego.
Who will face a qualifier in the main draw?
The seven qualifiers will slot into six first-round matches. Luciano Darderi, in Zverev’s quarter, and Casper Ruud, in Medvedev’s quarter, both open against a qualifier. The fourth quarter, headed by Alcaraz, holds three of them: French wildcards Kyrian Jacquet and Titouan Droguet each face a qualifier, as does 11th seed Taylor Fritz. In Shelton’s quarter, two qualifiers will meet each other.
