With the dust settling after the Australian Open, it’s been a largely quiet week in the ATP rankings. Only one ATP 250 event took place last week in Montpellier, with the majority of the ATP Tour taking a rest following the year’s first Grand Slam.

A few players made the most of this lull, however, with Alexander Bublik, Felix Auger-Aliassime and Borna Coric all making deep runs in Montpellier and moving up the rankings.

Here’s a look at some of the latest changes in the ATP rankings.

Bublik hits career-high after Montpellier title

The story of the week was certainly Bublik’s impressive title run in Montpellier, with the Kazakh lifting his fourth ATP-level trophy on Sunday.

Dubbed “the comeback King”, Bublik dropped the opening set in each of his four matches en route to the Open Sud de France title. The 26-year-old first overcame a resurgent Denis Shapovalov in his opening match, winning 16, 7-6(12), 6-3.

Next, he defeated fellow Kazakh Alexander Shevchenko 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals, before overcoming a similar deficit against Auger-Aliassime in the semi-finals, winning 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 to set a final against Coric.

In the title match, Bublik lost the opener 7-5, before racing away with the clash 6-2, 6-3 to claim the championship.

Bublik now improves to No 23 in the ATP rankings, having previously held a career-high of No 25 in the world.

Auger-Aliassime, Coric rise

Off the back of their respective results in Montpellier, both Auger-Alissime and Coric also saw boosts to their rankings.

Auger-Aliassime, who has been as high as No 6 in the world previously, continues to claw his way back towards the top 20, with the Canadian currently sitting at No 28 in the world. Coric, on the other hand, leapt six places and is on the cusp of a return to the world’s top 30, with a new ranking of No 31 on Monday.

Young Italian Flavio Cobolli also sees a jump up the ATP rankings, cracking a career-high of No 71 in the world after making the Montpellier quarter-finals.

Austrian Jurij Rodionov gets his ranking to double digits for the first time on Monday, thanks to a win over Brandon Nakashima in the Koblenz Challenger final. The 24-year-old now moves to No 89 in the world.
