Englishman Cameron Norrie advanced to the last 16 of Paris Masters by edging out Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, the top seed, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the La Défense Arena on Tuesday evening.
Norrie, ranked No 31, will face the winner of the match between French wildcard Arthur Rinderknech and Monégasque wildcard Valentin Vacherot next.
In the previous round of the Paris Masters tournament, the Englishman won against Argentinian Sebastian Baez (6-3, 6-4).
