No 5 seed Jack Draper beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 10 seed, 6-3, 7-6 (4) to advance to the final of the Madrid Masters at the Caja Mágica on Friday evening.
Draper, ranked No 6, will play Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 14 seed, next.
Jack Draper won against Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (6-3, 6-4), Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 30 seed (7-6 (2) ret.), American Tommy Paul, the No 11 seed (6-2, 6-2) and Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-0, 6-4) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Musetti, ranked No 11, defeated Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry (7-6 (3), 6-2), Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 17 seed (7-5, 7-6 (3)), Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-2) and Canadian lucky loser Gabriel Diallo (6-4, 6-3).
