Alert – Madrid Masters: Ruud wins the trophy
Casper Ruud won the final on Sunday evening against Jack Draper

Norwegian Casper Ruud, the No 14 seed, edged out No 5 seed Jack Draper 7-5, 3-6, 6-4 to win the Madrid Masters trophy at the Caja Mágica on Sunday evening.
In the previous rounds of the Madrid tournament, Ruud, ranked No 15, beat Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech (6-3, 6-4), American Sebastian Korda, the No 23 seed (6-3, 6-3), American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed (7-5, 6-4), Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 9 seed (6-3, 7-5) and Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 20 seed (6-4, 7-5).
Draper, ranked No 6, defeated Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor (6-3, 6-4), Italian Matteo Berrettini, the No 30 seed (7-6 (2) ret.), American Tommy Paul, the No 11 seed (6-2, 6-2), Italian Matteo Arnaldi (6-0, 6-4) and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 10 seed (6-3, 7-6 (4)) earlier in the tournament.
