Alert – Musetti beats De Minaur to reach Monte-Carlo final

Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 13 seed, edged out Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 8 seed, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6 (4) to reach the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters at Monte-Carlo Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
Musetti, ranked No 16, will play second seed Carlos Alcaraz next.
The Italian won against Chinese qualifier Yunchaokete Bu (4-6, 7-5, 6-3), Jiri Lehecka (1-6, 7-5, 6-2), Matteo Berrettini (6-3, 6-3) and Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the No 6 seed (1-6, 6-3, 6-4) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Monte-Carlo tournament, De Minaur, ranked No 10, defeated Tomas Machac (3-6, 6-0, 6-3), Russian Daniil Medvedev, the No 9 seed (6-2, 6-2) and Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 15 seed (6-0, 6-0).
