ATP Auckland: Borges books spot in last eight
Borges will face the winner of the match between American Ben Shelton, the top seed, and Jakub Mensik in the next round

Portugal’s Nuno Borges, the No 7 seed, edged out Argentinian Mariano Navone 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 to advance to the last eight of the ASB Classic on Wednesday.
Borges, ranked No 36, will play the winner of the match between American Ben Shelton, the top seed, and Jakub Mensik next at the ASB Tennis Arena.
In the previous round of the tournament, the Portuguese edged out Italian Luciano Darderi (5-7, 6-3, 7-5).
Navone, ranked No 46, defeated French lucky loser Adrian Mannarino (7-6 (6), 6-7 (5), 6-1) in the first round of the tournament.
