Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet 6-3, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Marseille Open at the Palais des sports on Monday evening.

Bautista Agut, ranked No 102, will play No 3 seed Karen Khachanov next.
