BMW Open: Top seed Rune rolls Garin to reach semi-finals
Holger Rune won against Cristian Garin 6-2, 6-4 on Friday afternoon and will face Australian Christopher O’Connell in the next round

Dane Holger Rune, the top seed, reached his fourth semi-final of the year as he beat Chilean Cristian Garin 6-2, 6-4 at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Friday afternoon.
Rune, ranked No 7, will face Australian Christopher O’Connell next. The Dane reached the final of the Monte-Carlo Masters last weekend.
In the previous round, the 19-year-old Dane won against German wildcard Yannick Hanfmann (6-3, 6-4).
Garin, ranked No 86, won against German qualifier Marko Topo (6-4, 6-2) and Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 6 seed (6-3, 7-6 (3)) in the previous rounds of the Munich Open.
