Bucharest Open: Navone moves into quarter-finals

The Argentine will face the winner of the match between top seed Francisco Cerundolo and Federico Coria in the next round

Argentinian Mariano Navone, the No 5 seed, edged out Brazilian Thiago Seyboth Wild 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 to reach the quarter-finals of the Bucharest Open at the National Tennis Centre on Friday.

Navone, ranked No 52, will face the winner of the match between top seed Francisco Cerundolo and Federico Coria next.

In the previous round of the Bucharest tournament, the Argentine won against Italian Luciano Darderi (6-2, 6-3).

Seyboth Wild, ranked No 67, edged out Italian Luca Nardi (6-3, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (2)) in the previous round of the Bucharest tournament.
