Croatia Open: Popyrin eases past Ofner to make quarter-finals
Alexei Popyrin beat Sebastian Ofner 6-4, 6-1. He’ll face the winner of the match between Croat wildcard Dino Prizmic and Hungarian Zsombor Piros in the next round
Australian Alexei Popyrin defeated Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 6-1 to move into the quarter-finals of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag.
Popyrin, ranked No 90, will face the winner of the match between Croat wildcard Dino Prizmic and Hungarian Zsombor Piros next.
The Australian won against Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-4, 7-5) in the previous round of the Umag tournament.
