Defending champion Baez off to winning start in Rio de Janeiro
Sebastian Baez began his Rio Open title defense by beating Roman Andres Burruchaga in straight sets on Tuesday

No 5 seed Sebastian Baez beat lucky loser Roman Andres Burruchaga 6-3, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Rio Open at the Jockey Club Brasileiro in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday evening.
The Argentine, who is the defending champion at this ATP 500 in Rio, advanced after one hour and 37 minutes.
Baez, ranked No 31, will next play the winner of a match between Argentina’s Mariano Navone and Spain’s Roberto Carballes Baena.
