No 6 seed Brandon Nakashima beat wildcard Reilly Opelka 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Delray Beach Open at the Delray Beach Stadium and Tennis Center.
Nakashima, ranked No 43, will face the winner of the match between Italian Matteo Arnaldi, the No 4 seed, and American wildcard Learner Tien next.
Brandon Nakashima defeated Japanese qualifier James Kent Trotter (7-6 (2), 6-1) in the previous round of the Delray Beach tournament.
In the previous round of the Delray Beach tournament, Opelka, ranked No 121, won against Christopher Eubanks (6-3, 7-6 (7)).
