Dubai Open: Sonego upsets Auger-Aliassime to book last-eight spot

Italian Lorenzo Sonego reached the last eight of the Dubai Open by defeating Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, the No 4 seed, 7-6 (4), 6-4 at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Sonego, ranked No 67, will face German Alexander Zverev, the No 7 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Italian won against Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler (7-5, 6-3).
Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 9, beat American Maxime Cressy (7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3) in the previous round of the Dubai tournament.
