Swede Mikael Ymer reached the second round of the Dubai Open by winning against Italian lucky loser Francesco Passaro 6-2, 6-3 at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre on Tuesday.

Ymer, ranked No 59, will face Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp next.
