American Tommy Paul, the second seed, won against Frenchman Gregoire Barrere 6-4, 6-3 to reach the final of the Eastbourne Open at the Devonshire Park LAwn Tennis Club on Saturday.
Paul, ranked No 17, will face Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo, the No 4 seed, next.
The American beat Argentinian Sebastian Baez (6-1, 7-6 (7)) and edged out J.J. Wolf (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (2)) earlier in the tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Eastbourne tournament, Barrere, ranked No 57, won against Finn Emil Ruusuvuori (3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-6 (4)), Chilean Nicolas Jarry, the No 5 seed (6-3, 4-6, 6-4) and Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 8 seed (7-5, 7-6 (2)).
