Generali Open: Djere advances to last eight

Serb Laslo Djere, the No 5 seed, won against Brazilian wildcard Thiago Seyboth Wild 7-6 (5), 6-3 to move into the last eight of the Generali Open at Kitzbühel Tennis Club in Kitzbuhel on Wednesday afternoon.

Djere, ranked No 38, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Argentinian Pedro Cachin, the No 3 seed, next.

Ahead of his victory, the Serb defeated Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 7-6 (4)).

Seyboth Wild, ranked No 117, won against Austrian qualifier Dennis Novak (6-3, 6-4) in the previous round of the Kitzbuhel tournament.
