Frenchman Quentin Halys moved into the second round of the Geneva Open by edging out Spaniard Jaume Munar 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (5) at Tennis Club de Genève, Parc des Eaux-Vives on Monday afternoon.
Halys, ranked No 50, will face top seed Taylor Fritz next.
