Christopher O’Connell beat against Nino Serdarusic (7-6 (5), 6-7 (1), 6-1) on Tuesday and will now play against Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the No 7 seed.

Australian Christopher O’Connell reached the second round of the Geneva Open on Tuesday after defeating Croat qualifier Nino Serdarusic (7-6 (5), 6-7 (1), 6-1).

O’Connell, ranked No 85, will now face the Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles, the No 7 seed.
