Gijon Open: Paul makes second round, defeating 16-year old Landaluce

American Tommy Paul, the No 5 seed, moved into the second round of the Gijon Open by winning against Spanish wildcard Martin Landaluce 6-3, 6-0 at the Palacio deportes on Monday evening.
Landaluce, aged 16, is the latest US Open junior champion.
Paul, ranked No 30, will play the winner of the match between Argentinian qualifier Marco Trungelliti and Spanish qualifier Nicolas Alvarez Varona next.
