Hamburg Open: Davidovich Fokina advances to the quarter finals

Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina reached the last 8 of the Hamburg Open by winning against Slovak qualifier Jozef Kovalik 6-2, 6-2 at Am Rothenbaum on Wednesday.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 35, will play the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti and Finn Emil Ruusuvuori next.
The Spaniard beat Dutchman Botic van de Zandschulp, the No 5 seed (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round. Kovalik, ranked No 186, won against German wildcard Max Hans Rehberg (3-6, 7-5, 6-1).
