Chinese Zhizhen Zhang, the No 6 seed, defeated Italian Mattia Bellucci 6-3, 6-0 to reach the last eight of the Hangzhou Open at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center on Saturday afternoon.
Zhang, ranked No 48, will play Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena next.
The Chinese edged out Kazakh qualifier Denis Yevseyev (6-2, 1-6, 6-4) in the previous round of the Hangzhou tournament.
In the previous round of the Hangzhou tournament, Bellucci, ranked No 108, won against Russian Aslan Karatsev (6-4, 6-0).
