Hong Kong Open: Ruusuvuori defeats Kotov to reach semi-finals
Emil Ruusuvuori won against Pavel Kotov 6-3, 7-6 (4) on Friday and will play the winner of the match between Austrian Sebastian Ofner and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next

Finland’s Emil Ruusuvuori advanced to the semi-finals of the Hong Kong Open by winning against Russian Pavel Kotov 6-3, 7-6 (4) at the Victoria Park Tennis Stadium in Hong Kong on Friday.
Ruusuvuori, ranked No 69, will face the winner of the match between Austrian Sebastian Ofner and Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut next.
In the previous rounds of the tournament, the Finn beat Frenchman Benjamin Bonzi (6-7 (5), 6-2, 6-1) and Russian Karen Khachanov, the second seed (7-6 (2), 2-6, 6-2).
Kotov, ranked No 67, won against Portuguese Nuno Borges (6-2, 6-4) and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 6 seed (6-4, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
